The Indian government has claimed that a Khalistani terrorist was involved in Canadian border policing. This terrorist named Sandeep Singh Sidhu alias Sunny was also an ISI agent. He is also accused of murdering Shaurya Chakra winner Balwinder Singh Sandhu.
The Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) had included Sunny in the 2020 wanted list in the Sandhu murder case. Sandhu was murdered at his home in Bhikhiwind in Tarn Taran district of Punjab.
Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a teacher from Punjab, was awarded the Shaurya Chakra for his efforts against Khalistan terrorism.
The NIA claims that Sidhu was also an agent of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
“Khalistanis sitting in Canada had conspired to murder”The NIA had told the Supreme Court this week that Khalistan terrorists living in Canada were the mastermind behind the murder of Shaurya Chakra winner Balwinder Singh Sandhu in 2020.
The NIA said Sunny Toronto-based Canada-based Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) operatives Sukhmeet Pal Singh Sukh and Lakhveer Singh Rode plotted Sandhu’s murder.
Lakhveer Singh Rode is the nephew of Khalistan terrorist Bhindranwale and the leader of the KLF. At the behest of the KLF, 7 people were killed between January 2016 and October 2017. Many Hindu leaders who did not support Khalistan were also killed.
What is the Sandhu murder case?
Balwinder Singh, who held anti-Khalistani views, was shot dead by two terrorists in his school on October 10, 2020. Balwinder Singh died instantly in the attack.
The murder case had already been registered at the Bhikhiwind police station. After the terror link was revealed, the NIA took over the case on January 26, 2021.
Sidhu was killed by an ISI agent and a KLF terrorist after he stopped a Canadian agent from smuggling drugs across the border. Since then, he was on the NIA’s wanted list.
Terrorist Rode had hired Sukhmeet Pal Singh to carry out this incident. It was on Rode’s instructions that terrorist Inderjeet Singh engaged two snipers, Gurjeet Singh and Sukhdeep Singh. Then everyone together realized this incident.
