The Mumbai Police have registered a cheating case against famous director and choreographer Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle D’Souza and five others.

Thane police said a dance group had filed the complaint last Saturday. Remo and his wife and all others were accused of fraud of Rs 11.96 crore.

Remo released a statement Sunday evening calling all of the allegations baseless. On Monday, he will also hold a press conference in Mumbai at 1 p.m.

Complaint lodged at Mira Road police station Earlier, the 26-year-old victim dancer had lodged his complaint at Mira Road police station in Mumbai on October 16. According to this complaint, the dancer and his group were allegedly defrauded between 2018 and July 2024.

This group had won by performing on a reality show. The complainant claims that Remo and other accused claimed that the group belonged to them and collected the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore that they had won.

In this case, the police have registered a case in the name of Remo D’Souza, his wife Liezel D’Souza, Omprakash Shankar Chauhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, Ramesh Gupta and one other person. The matter is under investigation.
