4 things from Priyanka’s speech…

Those who came to power used hatred: Those in power have used hatred to stay in power. They created separation. This is not the policy our nation was built on. Our freedom movement, under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, was inspired by equality and respect for all religions. We fight for truth and justice: Jesus Christ teaches us humility. The teachings of Buddha show us the path of non-violence. Today we are fighting for these values of nationalism. We fight for truth, justice and equality. These values inspired my brother to travel across India for love and unity.Meeting with people who lost their families in the landslide: A few months ago, I went to Churalamala and Mundakkai in Wayanad with my brother. I saw the devastation with my own eyes. I saw children who lost their entire family. I met mothers who lost their children, whose entire lives were taken away by the landslide.People of Wayanad help everyone: I noticed one thing during the landslide. Here doctors, teachers, housewives, everyone helped each other. They supported each other with compassion, love, affection and courage, without any greed. It is a privilege to be part of your family.
