Businessman Dhal granted bail by Supreme Court in liquor policy case, arrested by CBI in April 2023

Supreme Court says – Aadhaar card is not proof of age, overturned Punjab and Haryana High Court decision
The Supreme Court on Thursday said the Aadhaar card would not be considered an official document for age determination. A bench comprising Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan set aside the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in this regard. In this, the Aadhaar card was considered as a valid document for the age of the road accident victim.
The Supreme Court said the age of the deceased should have been determined from the date of birth shown on the school leaving certificate under section 94 of the Juvenile Justice (Care) Act, 2015 and protection of children). It is to be noted that according to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the Aadhaar card is valid for identification, but it cannot be accepted as proof of date of birth. Last year, the Madhya Pradesh High Court had said that the Aadhaar card would not be considered a valid document for determining age.
A team of 700 people raided in the name of a study trip to Kerala, 104 kg of gold seized
