Answer: During this period, firecrackers are the main cause of fires. There are firecrackers whose sparks fly through the air and enter someone’s house and cause destruction. Even if you burn crackers yourself, a little carelessness can cause a fire or we can get burned. Apart from this, if we are not careful while lighting lamps or candles in the house, it can also cause a fire.
One of the major causes of fires is that on Diwali, many lights are installed everywhere in the house. Even two- and three-story houses are covered in lights from top to bottom. Due to excessive consumption of electricity on Diwali, the load on the house wiring also increases. In such a situation, if the wiring system is not strong, there is a risk of short circuit. To avoid this, it is very important to pay special attention to safety.
Question: What precautions should be taken to avoid fires on Diwali?
Answer: There is a high risk of fire on Diwali. In such a situation, we need to be more careful about it. Do not wear clothes made of silk, nylon or polyester on this day as they catch fire easily. Instead, wear cotton clothes only. Avoid using matches and lighters to light crackers, as they contain open flames, which can be dangerous. Answer – We have to be very careful when we burn them. Let’s learn this in pointers.
Light the lamp or candle in a place where there are no flammable objects. Do not keep the lamp near electrical wires, an inverter, a vehicle or synthetic fabric curtains. Keep the lamp or candle on a flat surface where it can be balanced. ok. If there are young children in the house, keep the lamp at a height where their hands cannot reach. In case of strong wind, do not leave the lamp or candle lit outside. There should be no disinfectant on hands during combustion. The alcohol in the disinfectant catches fire. Before lighting a lamp or candle, wash your hands thoroughly with soap. If someone gets burned, provide first aid immediately.

Answer – Most people don’t pay attention to it, but it is very important to have a first aid kit in every house to avoid fires on Diwali. You can include the following items in the first aid kit.

Answer: If someone is burned by a firecracker, provide first aid immediately –
cool the burned area
Pour water over the burned area for at least 20 minutes. The faster and longer you cool the burned area, the less the burning sensation will subside. Do not pour cold water on the wound, as both of these could make the burn worse.

Remove all clothing and jewelry from the injured area. Cover the area with a clean, dry sheet or loose bandage.
