Ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Indian batsmen KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel will join the India A team in Australia.

India-A is currently touring Australia. Currently, a 2-match unofficial test series is being played between the two teams. The BCCI on Sunday decided to send KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel to Australia to train for the second Test match starting November 7.

KL Rahul failed in both innings of the Bengaluru Test.

Rahul only played the first match against New Zealand

KL Rahul was included in the squad only for the Bengaluru Test in the series with New Zealand. In which he scored 0 and 12 points, after which he was excluded from the team in the remaining 2 matches.

Meanwhile, Jurel kept wicket as a replacement wicketkeeper after Rishabh Pant got injured in the first match. Rahul and Jurel did not get much playing time in the series against New Zealand.

In such a situation, the BCCI selection committee has decided to send these two players to Australia on Tuesday morning. He will be part of the second unofficial Test to be played in Melbourne from Thursday.

Before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) which begins in Perth on November 22, the Indian team was scheduled to play a practice match with India A. Which was cancelled. The Indian team will leave for Australia in two batches for BGT.
