A faceoff is underway between security forces and terrorists in Panipora and Sagipora areas.
The face-off between terrorists and security forces has continued since Thursday evening in Sopore, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. It was learned that 2-3 terrorists were hiding here, after which a search operation was conducted.
According to reports, firing took place throughout the night in Panipora and Sagipora areas of Sopore. Shooting resumed between the army and the terrorists from Friday morning.
Earlier, on Thursday, terrorists killed 2 village defense guards in Adhwari area of Kishtwar. Police said the village defense guard who had gone to graze cattle in the Munjala Dhar forest was kidnapped by the terrorists and shot at him.
The deceased were identified as Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, defense guards of Ohli-Kuntwada village. The army is conducting a search operation to find the terrorists.

The Kashmir Tigers group of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for the attack and killing of the village guard. The Kashmir Tigers shared photos of the dead bodies of the defense guards on social media, in which both were bleeding from the mouth. Both were also blindfolded. He has been identified as Ashiq Hussain Wani, a resident of Tuzar Sharif in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. Police recovered a pistol, seven live bullets and a magazine from his possession.
