The Citadel: Honey Bunny series was released on Amazon Prime on November 6. Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruthaprabhu are playing the lead roles in the series. Recently, Varun Dhawan said that Samantha’s health was deteriorating while filming the show. Once she even fainted on set, which made the actor very worried.
Samantha learned while filming the series that she suffered from a rare disease called myositis. After that, she wanted to leave the show. Recently, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Samantha said that if the creators of the show had not supported and encouraged her, it would have taken a long time for her to reappear in front of the camera.
Talking about this, Varun Dhawan said: I would like to add this, two such incidents happened on the set and literally broke my heart. I was very worried. I remember one day when we were filming, he didn’t tell me much about his condition. She just had her eyes closed and after 2 hours, oxygen tanks arrived on set. She was getting oxygen in a corner. She could have taken that day off, but she was still taking oxygen on set.
The actor added that the second incident was that we were shooting in the railway station. She was running after me. We had to cross the camera. I reached for the camera and Samantha fell there.
Varun Dhawan said he was upset and screaming when Samantha lost consciousness. Meanwhile, the team unit came to take care of him.
