Honda Cars India has released the design sketch of the third generation model of the popular Amaze sedan. The exterior and interior design of the subcompact sedan has been revealed in images shared on social media. The car will come with a new front-end look and advanced safety features.
Prices of the new generation Honda Amaze are expected to start from Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the new generation Maruti Dezire. Apart from this, it will also compete with Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.
A stylish LED headlight will be available like Elevate
According to the sketch released by Honda, the look of the upcoming Honda Amaze is inspired by the new Honda City and the international model Honda Accord. The front of Amaze features sharp styling lines and a hexagonal grille. There are stylish LED headlights with LED DRLs on both sides, which resemble the Honda Elevate SUV. At the same time, the fog lights are in their place. It may feature multi-spoke alloy wheels, a stylish LED tail lamp and a tall bumper like the one on the Honda City.
Can accommodate 6 standard and ADAS airbags
Honda has also released the cabin sketch of the new generation Amaze. It features a new dashboard layout and a new cabin theme, inspired by the Elevate urban sedan and SUV.
Inside the cabin, it has a 3-spoke steering wheel in black and beige colors. On the dashboard, it has a standalone touchscreen with patterned trim inserts.
New features like wireless phone charger and single panel sunroof can be found in Amaze. For added safety, 6 standard airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with reversing camera can also be provided.
Performance: Amaze gives a mileage of 18.6 kmpl
Mechanical changes are barely visible in the Honda Amaze. The car is currently equipped with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 87.7 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque.
For transmission, this engine has the option of a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox. Amaze will only be available with gasoline engines as the company has stopped manufacturing diesel engines. The company claims that the car has a mileage of 18.6 kmpl.
