Mahindra has released a new teaser of its two upcoming electric cars XEV 9e and BE 6e. This time, the company has revealed the final exterior design of the two cars. Earlier, the company had shown a glimpse of the interior design of the two cars.
Both electric vehicles have a coupe roofline and will be the first electric cars under the new XEV and Born Electric brands, which will be based on Mahindra’s new Inglo platform. XEV 9e and BE 6e will be revealed on November 26.
Multi-zone climate control, wireless phone charger and premium audio system can be provided in both electric cars. For added safety, safety features such as 6 standard airbags and ADAS Level 2 can be provided.
Exterior design: based on the INGLO platform The upcoming XEV 9e and BE 6e electric vehicles are both based on the INGLO platform, which has been designed for high performance. The XEV 9e will give the impression of a luxury electric car, while the BE 6e will offer bold and athletic performance.
According to the new teaser, the XEV 9e and BE 6e electric SUVs will have a futuristic and aerodynamic design with sharp elements. The front of the XEV 9e features L-shaped LED daytime running lights, a closed grille with a connected LED light bar and vertical lighting, a swooping hood and the new Mahindra EV logo.
At the same time, the BE 6e will have a front lighting system inspired by the XUV 3XO and will carry the BE logo instead of the Mahindra logo. The BE 9e features an inverted C-shaped connected LED DRL and a connected LED tail light. Both electric SUVs will have bold character lines and large wheel arches.
Interior: Both have a 2-spoke steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof. Earlier, Mahindra gave a glimpse of the cabin of the XEV 9e and BE 6e. The XEV 9e features a triple-screen setup, which includes a digital screen for the driver, a touchscreen and a screen for the passenger. While the BE 6e has an integrated dual screen. Both models feature a 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo and a panoramic sunroof.
Performance: Both RWD and AWD options are available. Information about the battery and electric motor of the two electric SUVs has not been shared. According to media reports, the XEV 9e may have the option of a 60 kWh and 80 kWh battery. At the same time, it can achieve a range of up to 500 km.
A 60 kWh battery can be provided in the BE 6e electric SUV. It can achieve a range of up to 450 km. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options can be found in both electric vehicles.
Features: A Level 2 advanced driver assistance system may be available. Coming to features, the XEV 9e can be had with multi-zone climate control, wireless phone charger, premium audio system, and ventilated and powered seats. Vehicle charging and regeneration modes will also be available there.
At the same time, multi-zone air conditioning, wireless phone charger and premium audio system can also be provided in the BE 6e. For passenger safety, it can be equipped with safety features such as 6 standard airbags, 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Starting Price: Rs 24 Lakh ex-showroom Mahindra Mahindra XEV 9e will compete with the upcoming Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV. At the same time, the BE 6e will compete with the Tata Curve EV, MG ZS EV, the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara and Hyundai Creta EV.
