Clashes took place between protesters and police on the highway in Srinagar, Pakistan. This video was posted by Imran Khan’s PTI party on social media.
The protest that began in Pakistan on Sunday over the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan has turned violent. So far, 7 people have died in the violence, including 4 protesters and 3 police officers.
According to media reports, Imran’s supporters attacked security forces on the Srinagar highway, during which three soldiers were crushed and killed. So far, more than 100 police officers have been injured in the violence. The condition of most is serious.
According to The Dawn, hundreds of Imran Khan’s supporters reached D Chowk in Islamabad. The police fired tear gas to stop them. In response, demonstrators threw stones at the police and the army.
After hours of confrontation, the army forced the protesters to evacuate D Chowk. Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, who is leading the protest, said the protest will continue until they get Khan.
D Chowk is the most hyped area of Islamabad. Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Prime Minister’s Office, Parliament and the Supreme Court are located in this area.
The army had blocked the highway leading to the capital by placing shipping containers, but demonstrators broke the barricades using lifting equipment and several heavy equipment. Some demonstrators climbed onto the containers.
Order to shoot protesters on sight in Islamabad: Section 245 was imposed in the capital Islamabad to deal with the violence. The order was given to shoot the demonstrators on sight. The Pakistan Army was granted the right to impose curfew in any area to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile, America has called on the Pakistani government to respect human rights.

Minister said: People were asked to protest after paying money
Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said Bushra Bibi was determined to kill people. Tarar said money had been given to those involved in the protests. He accused Bushra Bibi of using other people’s children as pawns.

Naqvi said – ordered police to stop the protest by all means
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the government had made all efforts to convince the PTI leaders, but they took wrong advantage and headed towards the capital.
Naqvi said that all PTI leaders do not want bloodshed but there is a group which controls all this. Naqvi said these people are behind the conflict. All are from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Among them, not a single one is from Pakistan.
Naqvi said he had ordered Islamabad IG to control the situation by all means.

Three demands of the demonstrators
Imran’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and its supporters are protesting with three demands.
The first demand is that Imran Khan and PTI workers should be released soon. Apart from this, the acceptance of the results of the elections held in 2024 and the withdrawal of the 26th constitutional amendment which reduces the power of courts were passed by the Pakistani Parliament.
Imran Khan himself had called for this protest. He had asked PTI workers to join the November 24 protest or leave the party. Imran termed this protest as the final call.

Interior Minister said: do not exceed the limit, otherwise any action can be taken
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that if protesters tried to enter the high security zone, they would face consequences. He said this area is already sensitive as Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is on an official visit to Islamabad.
Naqvi said that instead of D Chowk, the protesters should go to Sangjani area of Islamabad to hold the protest. They should not take any action that would require them to take strict measures. If they exceed the limits, we will not hesitate to take action.

More than 200 cases against Imran Khan
