Today, i.e. November 28, the Sensex closed at 79,043 with a decline of 1,190 points (1.48%). Nifty also fell by 360 points (1.49%), it closed at the level of 23,914. At the same time, the BSE Smallcap rose by 221 points (0.41%) and closed at 54,782.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 fell and only 1 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 46 fell and 4 rose. The NSE IT sector closed with a maximum decline of 2.39%.

Trading was mixed in Asian markets

Infosys, Reliance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra led the market. While the State Bank of India tried to push the Sensex higher. In the Asian market, the Japanese Nikkei rose by 0.56% and the Korean Kospi by 0.064%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.43% lower. On November 27, the US Dow Jones fell 0.31% to 44,722 and the S&P 500 fell 0.38% to 5,998. The Nasdaq also closed down 0.60% to 19,060. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) purchased shares worth ₹7.78 crore on 27 november. During this period, Domestic Investors (DII) also purchased shares worth ₹1,301.97 crore.

There was a rise in the market yesterday earlier yesterday i.e. on November 27, Sensex rose by 230 points and closed at 80,234. There was also a rise of 80 points in Nifty, it closed at 24,274.
