Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh has made a comeback to the FIDE World Chess Championship. Gukesh, 18, defeated current champion Ding Liren in “time control” in the third match on Wednesday. Gukesh recorded his first victory against a Chinese player in the world championship match. After this victory, the score is 1.5-1.5. There will be a day off on Thursday.
The 2024 FIDE World Chess Championship continues in Singapore. 14 matches will be played there. It will last until December 12. If necessary, a decisive match will be played, which will take place on December 13. This is the first time in the history of the World Chess Championship that two Asian players have competed to become world champions.

Gukesh adopted Kramnik’s strategy. This strategy was adopted by former world champion Vladimir Erigesy Kramnik of Russia against India’s Arjun Erigesy in a fast-paced match. Erigesi had drawn. Gukesh won by taking advantage of Liren’s simple mistakes. Liren had only two minutes left for the last nine shots and only ten seconds for the last six shots. Finally, he had no time left.
Who is D Gukesh D Gukesh’s full name is Domaraju Gukesh and he resides in Chennai. Gukesh was born on May 7, 2006 in Chennai. He started playing chess at the age of 7. He was first trained by Indianewsget Nagaiah.
Nagaiah has been an international level chess player and is a home chess teacher in Chennai. After that, Vishwanathan Anand coached Gukesh and gave him information about the game. Gukesh’s father is a doctor and his mother is a microbiologist by profession.
