India News Get -EntertainmentBollywoodActress Rozlyn Khan has sent a legal notice to Navjot Singh, Sidhu Kapil Sharma and Netflix over Sidhu’s false claims about battling cancer on the show
‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ is once again embroiled in controversies. Actress Roslyn Khan has sent a legal notice to Navjot Singh Sidhu, Kapil Sharma and Netflix, in which she demanded a public apology from Sidhu and the team of the show. They allege that false information related to cancer was shared on the show, which could mislead the public.
Indianewsget spoke to Roslin’s lawyer, Ali Kasif Khan Deshmukh, who said he suspected there might be a political agenda behind the whole affair. some key excerpts from the conversation:
What allegations did Roslyn Khan make in the notice sent to Kapil Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Netflix? Navjot Singh Sidhu had claimed that during her battle with cancer, his wife used Neem leaves boiled in water, which helped her beat the disease. However, this claim is completely baseless and contrary to medical science. Roslin, a cancer survivor herself, says such false claims can mislead people suffering from a serious illness like cancer. Even Tata Memorial Hospital and other reliable institutions have termed this claim as false.
Navjot Singh Sidhu and Kapil Sharma.
Could Navjot Singh Sidhu’s cancer claims be aimed at gaining political traction? Yes, we believe Navjot Singh Sidhu is trying to take political advantage of a serious illness like cancer by making such claims. He uses it to attract public sympathy and voters. But this is a very sensitive topic and such misrepresentations can lead people to rely on unscientific measurements rather than medical science.
Why were Netflix and Kapil Sharma dragged into this affair, and what is their connection to it? This claim was also made in Kapil Sharma Show and later released on Netflix. We believe that when such false content is broadcast on a show or platform, it can mislead millions of people. We therefore formulated three major demands:
Actress Roslin Khan.
1. Demand for apology: Navjot Singh Sidhu and Kapil Sharma should publicly apologize using the same platform.
2. Request to remove content: Netflix should immediately remove the episode in which this claim is made.
3. Be careful in future: The Kapil Sharma Show should avoid promoting such false allegations.
We gave them a deadline of 14 days. If they do not meet these requirements, we will take the matter to court.

Has any law been cited on this subject? Yes, there is a Drugs and Magical Remedies Act in India which prohibits such false and inaccurate claims. By law, you cannot promote magic cures or fake medicines. Through this notice, we have tried to ensure that no one misleads the public with such irresponsible claims. Our goal is clear: to end these false claims so people get accurate, reliable information about serious issues like cancer.
If sources are to be believed, Netflix’s legal team has received this notice. However, it is too early to make any statement on this subject. We also tried to get reactions from Kapil Sharma and Navjot Singh Sidhu on this disclaimer, but they were not available.
