The sixth match of the FIDE World Chess Championship final, played in Singapore between Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh and World Champion Ding Liren, ended in a draw. Both played their third consecutive draw. Earlier, the fourth and fifth matches also ended in a draw. Four matches have been drawn in the 14-match final so far.
After the draw played on Sunday, both players have 3-3 points. They still need 4.5 points to win the championship. The first to reach 7.5 points will win it and obtain the title of World Champion.

The final score is tied at 3-3. After this draw, the final score between Gukesh and Liren is tied at 3-3. Both players got 0.5-0.5 points in this match.
Let us tell you that for winning a chess game, one point is awarded, whereas in a drawn game, both players are awarded between 0.5 and 0.5 points. So far, both players have only managed to win one match each.
The first to score 7.5 points will become the champion. 14 matches will be played between Gukesh and Liren in the World Chess Championship final. It will last until December 12. If the final score remains equal, a decisive match will be played, which will take place on December 13. This is the first time in the history of the World Chess Championship that two Asian players have competed to become world champions.

Nagaiah has been an international level chess player and is a home chess teacher in Chennai. After that, Vishwanathan Anand coached Gukesh and gave him information about the game. Gukesh’s father is a doctor and his mother is a microbiologist by profession.
