Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Modi on stage after taking oath. The Prime Minister congratulated him by offering him a bouquet.

The special session of the Maharashtra Assembly is scheduled to begin on December 7. After the new government is formed, BJP MP Kalidas Kolambkar will be the interim speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly on Friday. Kolambkar, who has served as a nine-time MP, will take the oath of office from Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan at 1 p.m.

After becoming pro tem president, Kolambkar will administer oath to 288 newly elected MPs. In addition, on December 9 the election of the president of the 15th Assembly will take place. After this, the grand alliance government led by CM Fadnavis will win the trust vote.

Earlier on December 5, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as chief minister and Eknath Shinde-Ajit Pawar took oath as deputy chief ministers. Maharashtra CM may take oath on November 23, which is the 13th day after the election results.

Shinde, who accepted the post of Deputy CM after much deliberation, became the second leader from Maharashtra to become Deputy CM of CM.

NCP chief Ajit Pawar became deputy CM for the sixth time. He became the first leader from Maharashtra to be Deputy CM of Congress, Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi government.

Devendra Fadnavis held a press conference after taking over as chief minister. He said, “Ministers will take oath and their portfolios will be handed over before the winter session of the Assembly.

The Speaker will decide whether the post of Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly will be given or not. Our roles have changed, our direction has not changed. The cabinet has been decided. There won’t be much change to this.

Fadnavis became CM for the third time in 10 years, the first BJP leader from Maharashtra to do so. Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as chief minister for the third time in 10 years. He is the first BJP leader to do this. After taking oath, he visited Prime Minister Modi and congratulated him.

After Fadnavis, former chief minister Eknath Shinde was sworn in as deputy CM. Before taking oath, he took the names of Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe. Thanked Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah. He is the second head of state to become deputy CM after the CM.

After Shinde, NCP chief Ajit Pawar was sworn in as deputy CM. He became the deputy CM of the state for the sixth time. He became the first leader from Maharashtra to serve as deputy CM of the Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi coalition governments.

The swearing-in ceremony began at 5:31 p.m. on Thursday evening at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, and lasted for around 30 minutes. The three leaders took oath in Marathi before Governor CP Radhakrishnan.

Besides Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, CMs and deputy CMs of 20 NDA-ruled states and union territories, including Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu attended the function.

Before going to take oath, Devendra Fadnavis’ mother applied tilak to him.

No party holds 10% of the seats, hence the doubt about the opposition leaders. Voting was held on 288 Maharashtra assembly seats on November 20. The result fell on November 23. Mahayuti got 230 seats. In this, the BJP won 132 MLAs, Shiv Sena won 57 and the NCP won 41 MLAs. While Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) got 46 seats and others 12 seats. In the MVA, Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats, Congress 16 and Sharad Pawar’s NCP 10 seats. The majority figure is 145.

To claim leadership of the opposition, the party must have 10% of the seats. To claim this position in the 288-seat Maharashtra Assembly requires 29 seats, which no opposition party has.
