Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh defeated China’s Ding Liren for the second time in the World Chess Championship final. 18-year-old Gukesh defeated defending champion Liren in the 11th match. He also won the third match. In this 29-shot match on Sunday, Gukesh took the advantage over the Chinese player. After which Ding Liren resigned.
After this victory, Gukesh leads 6-5 in the 14-game final. He takes the lead for the first time in the final. He is now 1.5 points away from the world title. The first player to reach 7.5 points will win the match and be called the new world champion.

There are now 3 matches left in the championship. The 12th match will be played Monday December 9. There are only 3 matches left in the championship with prize money of 25 lakh dollars (approximately Rs 21.14 crore). If the score remains tied after 14 rounds, there will be matches under “Faster Time Control” to determine the winner. It’s like a tiebreaker.
Gukesh had the advantage of time
