Nana Patekar’s father-son film Vanvas releases on December 20.

On December 20, a film based on the father-son relationship was released: Vanvas. It was directed by Anil Sharma. Anil had directed a hit film like Gadar-2 last year. Nana Patekar and actor Utkarsh Sharma, Anil’s son, are playing lead roles in the film Vanvas. Before the release of the film, Nana Patekar had a special conversation with Indianewsget.

Nana Patekar looked a little emotional during the conversation. He spoke about his relationship with his father. Nana said that he had earned a lot of money in his life, but he could not help his father. This is because his father died before he became successful.

Question- Nana, what is the film Vanvas for you, explain a little? Answer: After a long time, I found this character, this film, which spoke of the inconsistencies of society. The greatest irony today is that children don’t have time to sit down with their parents.

If you ask anyone today how many days have passed since they touched their father, they won’t be able to say. Parents want nothing more than their children. All that should happen is that kids keep putting them down every now and then. Remember one thing, parents are like touchstones, if they touch us we can turn into gold.

Most of the film’s shooting was done in Banaras.

Question- Since the film is based on father-son relationship. Nana, how was your relationship with your father? Answer: I always felt that my father loved my two brothers more than me. However, that was just my illusion. We had become very good friends a few years before his death. I am deeply saddened that I cannot do anything for my father with my income.

He also died in a municipal hospital. At that time, I didn’t even have money for his medicine. My friends helped me a lot at that time. He was the one who gave me the money for the medicine.

Question: Nana, just like people showered love on your previous films, will Vanvas also receive the same love? Answer: Of course you will get it. People know what kind of films I make. People trust my work. Let me give you an example. I run an NGO called “Naam Foundation”.

I once went to a village for foundation work. An elderly woman met me there. He gave me 50 rupees. She said I know you will never do bad work so take even a little help from me. The woman knew that the money she gave him would be spent in the right place. This 50 rupees was equivalent to 50 crores for me.

You won’t believe it, Naam Foundation had received 60 crore donations in two months. If that’s not people’s trust in me, then what is?

Nana Patekar has been active in the film industry since 1978.

Question – If there are any funny stories during filming, tell me? Answer: We shot in Banaras and Shimla. The crew members heard a lot of scolding from me. However, I also cooked and fed them food. About 200 crew members lived on set, I prepared food for everyone.

I think that feeding yourself is also a virtuous act. Our mothers have been doing this for centuries, even though we are not at all grateful to them. We believe that cooking is their job. This shouldn’t happen. We must be grateful for their work and hard work.

Apart from Nana, Utkarsh Sharma is also playing the lead role. Utkarsh appeared in Gadar and Gadar-2.

Question: Nana ji, what changes do you see in Hindi cinema between then and now? Answer: Commercial cinema has changed a lot. There was violence in the previous films as well, but now it has become too much. I will not take the name of such films. However, it worries me a lot to see what we are trying to show through today’s films.

The current generation is very fond of these films, which is why their collection is also huge. Today, society has changed more than ever. Besides that, if such films happen, the mood will deteriorate somewhere. I think that cinema should not just be a means of entertainment. It is very important to convey the right message to people through cinema.

Question- Finally, what would you say to those who go to see your film Vanvas? Answer- Leave the audience, I also tell you that if you have seen this film, you will watch it two to three more times. You will send me a message after watching the film. We will even bother the director of the film, Anil Sharma, by asking him how he managed to make such a film. Moreover, after this film, the industry will get a new star in the form of Utkarsh Sharma.
