Bengaluru-based electric vehicle maker Ather Energy has announced that it will increase the price of its Rizta family electric scooter. According to dealer sources, the company will increase the prices of electric scooters from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000. The new prices will be applicable from January 1.
This electric scooter is available with 3 variants and 7 color options. It is priced between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with electric scooters like TVS i-Cube, Ola S1 Air. Ahead of the price hike, deals on the scooters are also available on e-commerce Flipkart.
Ather Rizta was launched in April this year.
Rizta has been launched in 7 color options. It has 4 two-tone colors and 3 monotone colors.
India’s first electric scooter with 56 liters of trunk space, the company claims it travels up to 160 km on a full charge. Ather says it is the electric scooter with the largest seat and trunk space in the electric two-wheeler segment. Rizta has 34 liters of trunk space under the seat. A small storage compartment, called “Joey Pocket”, has been provided on the front part of the trunk to store small items such as a first aid kit or a dusting cloth.
Optional accessories available with the scooter include a trunk storage “organizer,” which converts into a carrying bag. A 22 liter “franc” mounted on the scooter apron is also provided, which increases the scooter’s storage space to 56 liters. Apart from this, the company has introduced a new Halo headset, with the help of which features such as voice commands work.
Ather Rizzta: The Rizzta performance scooter has the same 4.3 kW motor as the Ather 450X. It offers 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery options. The range of the small battery is 123 km and that of the large battery is 160 km. The maximum speed of all variants is 80 km/h. Charging time for the 2.9 kWh battery is 6.40 hours. While the charging time of a 3.7 kWh battery is only 4.30 hours.
Ather Rizta: Design and Material The design of Rizta is square and has many powerful features that make it practical for daily use. An LED lighting setup with LED indicators is provided in its apron. There is no light in its handle. For better visibility, the light emitted in the apron itself has been turned to the left and right.
Another brand is available on the front. A joystick-shaped button is provided on the left side of the handle. It has left, right, up and down buttons. It has a 7-inch touchscreen, which offers plenty of smart connectivity features as well as navigation. A small backrest is provided on the support bar at the rear of the scooter.
Below, there is an LED taillight and an Ather badge. On the side of the scooter, a footrest has been provided in the bodywork itself for the passenger. For a comfortable ride, the scooter has a double telescopic suspension at the front. At the same time, a mono shock absorber is available at the rear. For braking, Rizta has a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear.
Ather Rizzta: Features The scooter’s underseat storage has a versatile charging port with 18W power, which can charge smartphones, laptops, tablets, portable speakers and other devices electronic. The wading capacity of this electric family scooter is 400mm.
Ather has introduced a skid control feature in Rizta to prevent the scooter from sliding. This is Ather’s proprietary traction control system, which controls engine torque to reduce loss of traction when accelerating on low-friction surfaces such as sand, gravel, water or oil.
The scooter has two riding modes – Smart Eco and Zip. Apart from this, like on the 450 series, driver assistance features such as Magic Twist, Autohold and Reverse mode have also been provided. Apart from this, features like False Safe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Share Live Location, Theft and Towing Detection, Find My Scooter, Magic Twist and Regenerative Braking have been provided in it.
