Telecom companies have expressed concern over the new TRAI rule: requested a two-month delay, traceability of transactional and service messages will be implemented from November 1
Telecom companies have expressed concern over the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) new rules that will come into effect from November 1. Under the new rule, TRAI has made it mandatory to trace transactional and service messages sent by banks, e-commerce platforms and other financial institutions.
It indicates that if there is a problem in the message sending chain, the message will be blocked before reaching clients. Telecom companies say many large institutions (LEs) and telemarketers are not yet ready to follow these rules, which could disrupt the transmission of OTPs and other important messages.
