The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain open on Saturday, February 1, 2025 due to the Union Budget. On this day, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her eighth Union Budget.

Both exchanges will remain open for normal trading, as usual, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The commodity derivatives segment will also be open for trading on the morning of February 1.

Indian stock exchanges are generally closed on Saturday and Sunday. However, on special occasions, special trading sessions are organized during these days.

Before this, on February 1, 2020, Budget Day was Saturday, the opening day of the stock market. Meanwhile, on February 28, 2015, the market was opened on Saturday and the budget was also presented on the same day.

The market closed sharply today

Today, December 23, the first trading day of the week, the Sensex closed at 78,540 with a rise of 498 points. Nifty also gained 165 points and closed at the level of 23,753. At the same time, the BSE Smallcap fell by 331 points and closed at the level of 54,817.
