A fire broke out around 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Secretariat in the Segunbagicha area of ​​Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. According to media reports, the fire broke out on the 6th floor of building number 7 of the Secretariat and later spread to the 7th and 8th floors. This building houses the offices of 7 ministries including transport.

A firefighter has died after being hit by a tanker truck. Firefighters said that while controlling the fire, a firefighter was hit by a tanker truck, resulting in his death. According to the report, he was preparing to install pipes in the tanker truck when he was hit by another tanker truck. After that, he was taken to hospital where he died.

The name of the deceased firefighter is Sohnur Zaman Nayan. He was a member of the fire brigade of Tejgaon fire station. Additionally, another firefighter, Habibur Rahman, suffered leg injuries.
