The Hyundai Creta EV was unveiled on January 2.
Hyundai Motor India has revealed the first look at the interior of the Creta mid-size electric SUV. Apart from this, the company also revealed the specifications and power figures of the car. The South Korean automaker will launch the electric SUV at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The company claims that the car will travel up to 473 km on a full charge and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Apart from this, it will get over 70 safety features including Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2. It will be offered with two battery options – 51.4 kWh, 42 kWh.
Four variants will be available in the electric SUV. This includes Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence variants. It will be the company’s cheapest electric vehicle. Its starting price can be kept at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai It will compete with Tata Curve EV, Mahindra BE6, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti E Vitara.
The Creta EV will come with an electric panoramic sunroof.
The car will also have a pedal-operated shifter as well as a shift knob.
Interior: Creta ICE design with dual digital display The dashboard layout of the Hyundai Creta Electric is largely similar to that of its petrol/diesel version. The dashboard looks quite modern with dual digital displays and physical buttons to control important functions, although given that this is the electric version of the Creta, there are some differences.
It has a new steering wheel with drive selector inside the new steering column. Its lower center console has also been redesigned, which now houses the drive mode selector, cup holders and electronic parking brake switches. The dashboard of the electric Creta has been given a black and white finish and also gets purple ambient lighting, while the standard model gets a gray and white color theme with amber lighting.
Features such as dual-zone climate control will be available in EV.

Apart from this, new convenience features like in-car payment service have also been offered in Creta EV, where you can pay for vehicle charging from the infotainment screen itself. It also has a digital key, with which you can lock/unlock your car from your smartphone. The electric vehicle will have features such as dual camera dash camera, vehicle-to-charge (V2L) charging, drive mode, three-point seat belt on rear seat, rear headrest adjustable, a 60:40 split rear seat and a 2-step reclining seat.
Exterior Design: 17-inch alloy wheels Hyundai has kept the design of the Creta EV similar to that of the regular Creta SUV. At the front, it gets LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and dual-module vertical LED headlamps like the regular Creta. In between is a pixelated grille with small cubes, in the center of which is a charging port under the Hyundai logo. There are 4 retractable air vents on the lower grille, which will keep the electric motor and battery components cool. The electric vehicle lacks fog lights and silver skid plate.
On the sides of the car, 17-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic design have been provided, which resemble those of the Tata Nexon EV. The silver window trim found in the regular Creta model has been replaced with a black finish. It also has a silver protective plate on the side. A connected LED tail lamp is provided at the rear, which is the same as that of the standard Creta. Here, a black trim is also provided at the bottom of the trunk door, a new bumper with pixel element and a silver skid plate.
Performance: The Hyundai Creta EV has a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor for performance, with which three driving modes are available: Eco, Normal and Sport. The company claims that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.
To power the electric motor, two battery options of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh will be supplied with the electric vehicle. The company claims the car will travel 473 kilometers on a full charge with the 51.4 kWh battery and 390 kilometers with the 42 kWh battery. Information about the electric motor specifications of the Creta EV has not been revealed yet.
The Creta EV will take 58 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent via a DC fast charger, while the battery will charge from 10 to 100 percent in four hours via an 11 kW AC wall charger.
Safety Features: 360-degree camera and ADAS Level 2 For added safety, the car will be equipped with 6 airbags (standard) and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 features with rear camera 360 degrees, which include adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. safety features will be included. Along with this, regenerative braking has been provided which, with the help of radar, reduces the vehicle speed depending on the distance of the advancing vehicle.
Apart from this, features like Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Front and rear parking sensors and an ISOFIX child seat will also be available.
ADAS Level 2 features will be available in Creta EV.
