The trajectory of asteroid PT5 2024 is visible in the video.

Earth will receive a new temporary mini-moon today (September 29). The diameter of this moon, called 2024 PT5, is only 10 meters. It will remain in Earth’s orbit for 53 days. This mini-moon, 3,50,000 times smaller than Earth’s moon, can be observed using a special telescope after 1:30 p.m.

This moon is actually an asteroid. He was discovered on August 7. It will enter Earth’s orbit today and will continue to orbit the Earth for the next 53 days, i.e. until November 25. Due to its very low speed, this asteroid will not be able to complete even one revolution around the Earth in the next two months.

The body that naturally revolves around a planet is called the Moon. Saturn has 146 moons, while Jupiter has 95. Mars has two moons and Earth has only one.

The asteroid in Arjuna’s asteroid belt is 2024 PT5 This asteroid 2024 PT5 is part of the “Arjuna Asteroid Belt”, a group of asteroids present in our solar system. These groups can sometimes come as far as 2.8 million miles or 45 lakh km from Earth.

This group of asteroids was named Arjuna by astronomer Robert H. McNaught. In the Indian text Mahabharata, Arjuna is known for his courage, archery skills, intelligence and spiritual development. Inspired by him, McNaught named the asteroid belt Arjuna.

There are many asteroid belts in our solar system. Their names are Apollo, Atira, Amor and Aten.

The asteroid will return to the Sun’s orbit due to Earth’s gravity After November 25, asteroid PT5 2024 will break free from Earth’s gravity and return to the Sun’s orbit. In fact, this asteroid approached Earth as it orbited the Sun. For this reason, it began to revolve around the Earth after being pulled by gravitational force. After November 25, it will move away from Earth and the effect of gravity on it will also end. Then it will return to the orbit of the sun.

Will help scientists, give information about space Asteroid researcher Federica Spoto of Harvard and Smithsonian says 2024 PT5 will provide information about asteroids in space, which sometimes collide with Earth.

Earlier in 1981 and also in 2022, Earth had a mini moon named 2022NX1.
