Today, October 4, the last trading day of the week, the Sensex is trading at 82,365 level with a decline of 100 points. There is also a decline of 40 points in Nifty, it is trading at 25,200 level.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 are falling and 10 are rising. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 34 are in the red and 15 are in the red. All sectors on the NSE, including banking and automobiles, are down.

Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹15,243.27 crore

On the Asian market, the Japanese Nikkei is up 0.47%. On the other hand, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is trading up 2.26% and Korea’s Kospi index is up 0.60%. On October 3, the US Dow Jones fell 0.44% to 42,011 and the Nasdaq fell 0.037% to close at 17,918. The S&P 500 also closed 0.17 per cent lower at 5,699. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹15,243.27 crore on October 3. During this period, Domestic Investors (DII) purchased shares worth ₹12,913.96 crore.

Yesterday, the market experienced its fourth biggest decline of the year.

Yesterday, i.e. October 3, the stock market recorded the fourth largest decline of the year. The Sensex closed at 82,497, down 1,769 points (2.10%). At the same time, Nifty also fell by 546 points (2.12%), closing at 25,250 level.

Auto, energy, financial and banking stocks fell further. There was a decline of over 4% in shares of BPCL, Shriram Finance and L&T. He was the big loser of Nifty. JSW Steel stock was the top gainer on Nifty with a gain of 1.33 per cent.
