Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has vacated the CM residence located on Flag Staff Road. He moved to Bungalow No. 5 on Ferozeshah Road in Lutyens Delhi on Friday afternoon. This bungalow was given to AAP Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Ashok Mittal.
Kejriwal moved with his wife Sunita Kejriwal, his parents and two children. Ashok Mittal and his wife welcomed everyone to their home. Mittal told news agency ANI that Kejriwal had stayed at my house as a guest.
Kejriwal had resigned from the post of Delhi Chief Minister on September 17. He had announced to leave the CM residence and all government facilities. AAP had said that Kejriwal was looking for a new house. They are looking for a place where there is no conflict to live.
The AAP had alleged that a request was made to the central government to provide accommodation to Kejriwal as National Party chief, but there was no response from the government on the matter.

This morning, Kejriwal’s belongings were delivered to AAP MP Ashok Mittal’s bungalow.

CM chooses bungalow in Delhi himself, no official residence
There is no official CM house in Delhi. Even before Kejriwal became CM, he lived in different bungalows. In 1993, Madanlal Khurana was allotted 33 Shamnath Marg, then Sahib Singh Verma was allotted 9 Shamnath Marg and Sheila Dikshit was allotted AB-17 Mathura Road in the first term and 3 Motilal Nehru Marg bungalows in the second mandate.
In Delhi, the chief minister chooses a bungalow according to his convenience. After leaving the post of CM, he has to live in his ancestral house, whether private or rented. No separate housing allowance is provided for this purpose. The housing allowance is included in the total amount paid per month.
Kejriwal lived in Ghaziabad before becoming CM.
After resigning from the post of CM, Kejriwal is now just president of the Aam Aadmi Party and MP from New Delhi. Unlike other states, MLAs do not have bungalows to live in the Delhi Assembly. There is also no rule to give a bungalow as a former CM.
Kejriwal lived in the Kaushambi area of Ghaziabad before becoming the chief minister of Delhi for the first time in December 2013. As chief minister, he lived in a house in Tilak Lane in central Delhi. When the Aam Aadmi Party gained majority in February 2015, it moved to a residence at 6 Flag Staff Road in north Delhi’s Civil Lines area.

Manish Sisodia will move to the bungalow allotted to Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab Harbhajan Singh.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia may also vacate his government bungalow today. He had obtained AB-17 on Mathura Road, but after leaving his post, he also has to leave the bungalow. Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj had said on Thursday that Manish would also vacate his bungalow on October 4 itself.

Atishi Was sworn in as the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21. Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Saxena administered oath to him at Raj Nivas. Atishi had touched Arvind Kejriwal’s feet after the oath. Atishi is the youngest (43 years) CM of Delhi. Earlier, Kejriwal became CM at the age of 45.
