India’s Foreign Ministry said the US Commission should pay attention to human rights issues in its country.

India on Thursday rejected the US report on religious freedom. India’s Foreign Ministry has said that USCIRF, the US Commission on Religious Issues, is not an impartial institution. He wants to tarnish our image by presenting wrong facts about India. We reject their report.

In fact, the American Commission published a report on religious freedom on October 2. It was said that lies were being spread about religious minorities in India and that was the basis on which they were being attacked. Apart from this, their places of worship were also targeted.

On this, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the committee should avoid sharing agenda-based reports. He should use his time to raise issues related to human rights in America.

Requirement to include India in the list of countries of concern In its report, USCIRF had asked the US State Department to keep India on the list of countries of concern. This is not the first time the US Commission has raised questions about religious freedom in India.

Earlier, in a report released in May, the Ministry of External Affairs had said that we never expected USCIRF to understand India’s diversity and democratic values. He is just trying to interfere in Indian elections, which will never succeed.

Questions have been raised about Muslim interest even in the Lok Sabha elections. During the Lok Sabha elections in May, numerous reports appeared in the American media regarding religious freedom in India. It was said that elections in India were against Muslims. They are ostracized in their own country.

However, later the US State Department also provided clarification on this information. The ministry said America always stands ready to protect the right to religious freedom around the world. For this, we benefit from the support of many other countries, including India. The US State Department also rejected the international report on religious freedom, which claims that Muslims are oppressed in India.

The British newspaper had declared- The flaws in Indian democracy At the beginning of February, the British newspaper The Economist also published a report. It has been said that there are flaws in Indian democracy. In this report released with the ranking of democracy among 167 countries, India was ranked 41st.

According to the report, democracy exists in India with some flaws. A sharp decline in India’s score was recorded in 2019. However, since then, the country’s score has continued to improve.
