Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th installment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi today i.e. on October 5 (Saturday). This time, PM Modi sent a remittance of Rs 2,000 each to the accounts of over 9.4 crore farmers in Washim, Maharashtra.
A total amount of over Rs 20,000 crore was transferred as the 18th installment. Under this scheme, 91.5 lakh farmers in Maharashtra got direct benefits of over Rs 2,000 crore.

4. Price of vegetarian thali increased by 11% in September: Prices of onion, potato and tomato increased, while non-vegetarian thali became cheaper by 2% on a basis annual.
The price of a vegetarian thali in India increased by 11% (year-on-year) to Rs 31.3 in September. Last year in September 2023, the price of vegetarian thali was Rs 28.1. CRISIL has given this information in its monthly food plate cost indicator released.
Crisil said in the report that there was no change in the price of vegetarian thali in September compared to the previous August. The price of vegetarian thali in August was Rs 31.2.

5. SEBI approval for mutual fund business of Jio Financial-BlackRock: Final approval is yet to be received, the two companies had entered into a partnership in July 2023.
The joint venture of Jio Financial Services and BlackRock has received in-principle approval from market regulator Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to enter the mutual fund industry in India. Jio gave this information in its stock filing on Friday.
The two companies will act as co-sponsors of the mutual fund. Jio said in its exchange filing that it is yet to receive final approval from SEBI for registration. SEBI will give the final approval when Jio Financial and BlackRock fulfill the conditions mentioned in the letter.
