BJP reduced to 23-9 in Lok Sabha elections, Maratha reservation biggest challenge

In Maharashtra, there is a Mahayuti government, namely Shiv Sena faction, BJP and NCP Ajit Pawar. The mandate fight and vote distribution among six major parties will pose a major challenge for the Sadhna party.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, out of 48 seats in Maharashtra, the INDIA alliance got 30 seats and NDA 17 seats. Among them, BJP got 9, Shiv Sena 7 and NCP got only one seat. The BJP lost 23 seats. The NDA had secured 41 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2014, that figure was 42. That means less than half.

According to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will be reduced to around 60 seats. In a survey of the opposition alliance, MVA, i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi, is said to have secured 160 seats out of 288 in the state. The Maratha movement poses the biggest challenge to the BJP. Apart from this, people have sympathy for Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar after the sabotage of Shiv Sena and NCP.
