India Mobility Global Expo 2025 kicked off today (January 17). In this, Maruti today unveiled (presented) its first electric car E Vitara. According to the company, this car will travel more than 500 kilometers on a full charge.

Suzuki presented its first “e-Access” electric scooter. Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced its first electric scooter ‘e-Access’. According to the company, this vehicle will travel 95 kilometers on a full charge. The starting price of Access Electric has been kept at Rs 81,700. It will compete with other electric scooters like TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and Ola S1 Air.

Hyundai Creta ev mid-size electric SUV launched at Rs 17.99 lakh Hyundai Motor India has introduced its Creta ev mid-size electric SUV. Its starting price is Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s the company’s cheapest electric vehicle. The company claims that the Creta EV will travel up to 473 km on a full charge and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds.

Apart from this, it will get over 70 safety features including Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2. It has been introduced with two battery options – 51.4 kWh, 42 kWh.

For the first time, 34 automobile manufacturers are participating in Expo 2025. This number is the highest since the first edition of the Auto Expo organized in 1986. The official name of this exhibition is “The Motor Show”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event. The Prime Minister remembered Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki during his speech at the exhibition. This time, along with Bharat Mandapam, this exhibition is also happening at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka and India Expo Center in Greater Noida.

The Prime Minister said, “A large number of people will come here in the next 5-6 days. Many new vehicles are also going to be launched here. This shows how much positivity there is about the future of mobility in India.

Hyundai Creta Electric: ₹17 lakh (expected price)

Hyundai will launch the electric version of its best-selling Creta SUV. Hyundai has made many changes to the design of the Creta EV to give it a new identity. The cabin will come with features such as a dual 10.25-inch digital display, ventilated front seat, panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS.

Creta EV will be offered in two battery options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. Its version with a smaller battery will offer a range of 390 km with a 135 hp electric motor, while the version with a larger battery will offer a range (ARAI) of 473 km with a 171 hp electric motor.

Maruti E Vitara: ₹22 lakh (expected price)

The production version of E Vitara will be launched. Its concept version was presented at Expo 2023. Currently, the company has only shown a preview of the E Vitara. The front appearance of the electric vehicle will be very similar to that of the international version.

Many advanced features will be provided in Maruti e-Vitara. Its overall model offers two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. It is estimated that the same battery option can also be found in its Indian version.

Tata Harrier EV: ₹25 lakh (expected price)

The concept version of the Tata Harrier EV was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and then an updated version was showcased at an event in 2024. It is expected that the company will now be able to present its production model, which has been seen several times during testing.

Many similarities can be seen in the cabin of the Harrier EV with the regular model. A dual-motor setup may be offered in this upcoming car to support all-wheel drive. The range of the Harrier EV can be more than 500 km. Compared to the torsion bar found in the regular model, the Harrier EV will feature a better multi-link rear suspension.

MG Cyberster: ₹80 lakh (expected price)

MG Cyberster will be the company’s first fully electric convertible car, featuring scissor doors and 20-inch alloy wheels. Cyberstar will come with a triple-screen setup and an 8-speaker Boss audio system. The Indian version of the Cyberster will have a dual motor with a power of 510 hp and a torque of 725 Nm with a 77 kWh battery. The company claims that the vehicle will offer a range of over 444 km.

Tata Sierra: ₹20 lakh (expected price)

The concept version of Tata Sierra EV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, then its concept version was showcased in a production-ready design at the Expo 2023. Its production version can now be showcased at the Auto Expo 2025.

The Sierra EV can be supplied with a 60 to 80 kWh battery, thanks to which this vehicle can cover a range of more than 500 km. Besides the Sierra EV, the company may also present the Sierra ICE model, the concept and production model of which have not yet been revealed.

Skoda Kodiaq: ₹40 lakh (expected price)

Skoda will showcase its new generation Kodiaq at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This vehicle has been seen several times during testing. The new Kodiaq could be launched by the end of the year. The exterior design of this vehicle will be completely new and it will also benefit from a new interior.

The international Kodiaq model is offered with several powertrain options. It is estimated that the 2-litre turbo petrol engine from the current model could be offered in the upcoming Kodiaq in India.
