Government-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday launched 7 new services, including a SIM kiosk. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched these services. The new logo of the telecommunications company was also revealed.
1. National Wi-Fi roaming for fiber internet customers: BSNL has launched a nationwide Wi-Fi roaming service for its fiber internet customers. This means users can enjoy high-speed internet connection on BSNL hotspot without any additional charges.
2. BSNL announces new fiber TV service: BSNL has announced a new fiber optic TV service with over 500 live channels and pay TV options. All of these are available to fiber internet customers at no additional cost.
3. Kiosks for purchasing, upgrading SIM cards: The company wants to facilitate the management of its SIM cards thanks to automated terminals. These kiosks will help people easily purchase, upgrade or change their SIM cards 24/7.
BSNL had introduced an automated SIM kiosk (Any Time SIM) at IMC 2024.
4. Launch of India’s first direct-to-device service: BSNL has launched India’s first direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity solution, which combines satellite and mobile networks. This service is intended for emergencies and remote areas.
5. Spam Blocking Solution for Secure Network: BSNL’s spam blocking solution automatically filters phishing attempts and malicious SMS messages. Its objective is to create a secure communication environment for telecommunications users.
6. Launch of the public protection and disaster release solution: BSNL has launched a public protection and disaster release solution. It is a secure, scalable network dedicated to real-time disaster response, communication and public safety.
7. 5G private network introduced for mining operations: In collaboration with C-DAC, BSNL launches private 5G network for mining operations. This network will provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity in underground mines and large surface mines.
New logo launched ahead of Pan India 4G service launch
BSNL launches new logo ahead of launch of its Pan India 4G services. Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia along with Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar unveiled the new logo at an event in New Delhi. The logo reflects the mission “Connect India – Secure, Affordable and Reliable”.
BSNL has changed the color of the globe-shaped structure of its logo from gray to orange. The map of India has also been included in the logo. The color of the arrow was previously red and blue. It has now been changed to white and green.
BSNL recharge will not cost much in near future
