15,547 crore transactions were made through the Unified Payments Interface i.e. UPI from January to November 2024. During this period, an amount of Rs 223 lakh crore was transferred. Today (December 14), the Finance Ministry shared an article on X and informed that this is a new record for transactions through UPI.
4. Swiggy launches ‘Scenes’ service: This will allow you to book tickets for events and will compete with Zomato’s District app.
Food delivery platform Swiggy has launched the ‘Scenes’ service as part of its out-of-home dining vertical, Dineout. With this you will be able to book tickets for upcoming events. After its recent IPO, Swiggy launched this service to promote the events and ticketing business.
5. Gold became expensive this week, silver fell: Gold rose by Rs 735 to reach Rs 76,922, silver was sold at Rs 88,976 per kg.
There has been an increase in gold prices this week. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA) website, last Saturday, i.e. December 7, gold was at Rs 76,187, which has now reached Rs 76,922 per 10 grams (December 14). This means that its price has increased by Rs 735 this week.
