A decline is seen in the stock market today i.e. October 15. Sensex is trading at 81,700 level with a decline of over 200 points. Nifty also fell by over 50 points, it is trading at 25,050.
Today, we see a considerable decline in metal and FMCG stocks. At the same time, the shares of information technology and energy are increasing. While out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are seeing a rise and 9 are seeing a fall.
Mixed activity in the Asian market
Mixed activity is observed in the Asian market. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is up 1.27%. China’s Shanghai Composite fell 0.52%. On October 14, the US Dow Jones rose 0.47% to 43,065 and the Nasdaq closed up 0.87% to 18,502. The S&P 500 also closed up 0.77% to 5,859. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,731 crore on October 14. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) purchased shares worth ₹2,278 crore.
