A decline is observed in the stock market today i.e. October 17. Sensex is trading at 81,100 level with a decline of over 300 points. Nifty also has a gain of over 100 points, it is trading at the 25,000 level.

Today, we observe a significant decline in automobile, metals and banking stocks. There is growth in IT and energy stocks. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are down and 9 are up.

Mixed activity in the Asian market

The Asian market is booming. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is trading up 0.36% and China’s Shanghai Composite index is up 0.07%. On October 16, the US Dow Jones rose 0.79% to close at 43,077 and the Nasdaq rose 0.28% to close at 18,367. The S&P 500 also gained 0.47%. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,435 crore on October 16. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) purchased shares worth ₹2,256 crore.

Today is the last day of Hyundai India IPO

Today is the last day of Hyundai India’s IPO. The company’s shares will be listed on the market on October 22. The company has set its price range between Rs 1,865 and Rs 1,960. For this, an offer of at least Rs 13,720 will have to be made.

There was a market drop yesterday

Earlier yesterday i.e. October 16, a decline was seen in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 81,501 with a fall of 318 points. Nifty also fell 86 points and closed at 24,971.
