Earlier on Friday (November 29), the Sensex closed at 79,802 with a rise of 759 points (0.96%). There was a rise of 216 points (0.91%) in Nifty, it closed at 24,131 level.

Meanwhile, the BSE Smallcap rose 417 points (0.76%) and closed at 55,199. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 were higher and 4 were lower. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 43 were up and 7 were down. In NSE sectoral indices, except real estate and PSU banking sectors, all closed higher.
