The stock market reached a record high today, September 24, for the fourth consecutive trading day. During the trading, Sensex touched the level of 85,163 and Nifty touched the level of 26,011. However, after that, the market went down and the Sensex fell by 14 points and closed at 84,914.
At the same time, Nifty rose by only 1 point and closed at the level of 25,940. There was a rise in metals and energy stocks. There was a decline in stocks in the IT, banking and FMCG sectors. Shares of Tata Steel were the top gainers on Nifty, up 4.32 per cent.
Second day of Manaba Finance IPO
The initial public offering i.e. IPO of Manba Finance Limited will open from today (September 23). Investors will be able to bid for this IPO until September 25. The company’s shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on September 30.
Today, Asian markets are rising
Asian markets are bullish. China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 4.15% and Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.57%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index also rose 4.13%. On September 23, the US market’s Dow Jones closed at 42,124, up 0.15%. While the Nasdaq rose 0.14% to 17,974 and the S&P 500 rose 0.28% to close at 5,718, according to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 404.42 crore on September 23. During this period, Domestic Investors (DII) also purchased shares worth Rs 1,022.64 crore.
Yesterday the market reached an all-time high
Earlier yesterday i.e. September 23, the market had hit a new all-time high for the third consecutive trading day. During trade, Sensex touched 84,980 level and Nifty touched 25,956 level.
After this, the Sensex closed at 84,928 with a gain of 384 points. Nifty also gained 148 points and closed at 25,939. Today, stocks from the auto, FMCG and banking sectors gained more.
