N Chandrasekaran said in his letter, “Our group plans to create 5,00,000 manufacturing jobs in the next five years. Chandrasekaran said these jobs will be generated through investments made in the group’s factories and projects across India. With this investment, new-age products such as batteries, semiconductors, electric vehicles, solar equipment and other critical hardware will be manufactured.

The Tata Group will also create jobs in retail, technology services and other sectors.

In addition to these manufacturing jobs, the group will also create jobs in other sectors, including retail, technology services, airline and hospitality. Chandrasekaran also spoke about the group’s initiatives in the artificial intelligence sector.

Construction has begun on more than seven new manufacturing plants

Construction of over seven new manufacturing plants has begun, including India’s first semiconductor plant in Dholera, Gujarat, and the new OSAT semiconductor plant in Assam. Electronics assembly plant in Narasapura, Karnataka, automobile plant in Panpakkam, Tamil Nadu and new MRO plant in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He said the Tata Group would also set up new battery cell manufacturing plants in Sanand, Gujarat and Somerset, Britain.

The Group inaugurated the C295 Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Vadodara, Gujarat and started production of solar modules in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The Tata Sons Chairman said he is excited about the upcoming opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and manufacturing.
