CareerIndian diplomat Bhavika, who gave a piece of her mind to UNGC’s Pak PM, cleared UPSC exam inspired by her mother
Mr President,
It is regrettable to say that today this assembly has been made a mockery of. A country (Pakistan), ruled by its army and known worldwide for its terrorism and drug trafficking, has the courage to attack the largest democracy in the world (India). I am talking here about the Pakistani Prime Minister’s speech in which he tried to directly target India.
The whole world knows that Pakistan has always widely resorted to cross-border terrorism against its neighboring countries. Pakistan attacked our Parliament, our financial capital Mumbai, planted bombs in our markets and even our pilgrimage route (Amarnath Yatra). This list is quite long. Such a country talks about violence, if that is not hypocrisy, then what is? There were rigged elections and we are talking about the political choices of a democratic country like ours.
The real truth is that Pakistan wants to occupy our territory and has been disrupting elections in Jammu and Kashmir through terrorism for a long time. Pakistan must now understand that if it continues to resort to such cross-border terrorism against India, it will have to face the consequences. The Prime Minister of this country gave a speech here. But we must all make him understand that not a single word of his word is acceptable to us. We know that Pakistan will continue to lie to cover up the truth, but I want to tell you that repeating it again and again will not change anything. Our (India’s) position is very clear and we do not need to repeat it.
This is Bhavika Mangalanandan who was responding to the remarks of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, i.e. the UNGA, which was held on Friday. In fact, in his 20-minute speech, Shahbaz Sharif asked India to reverse the decision to scrap Article 370 so that “permanent peace can be ensured”. Sharif also suggested initiating talks for a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
Bhavika is in news these days for her sharp response. The population of the country congratulates him a lot on social networks.
