India News Get – CareerDelhi High Court Order CLAT 2025 Results revised after errors in many questions | CNLU
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) result will change due to a decision by the Delhi High Court. The High Court, while hearing the petition of candidate Aditya Singh, admitted errors in two questions and ordered to correct the result. The High Court ordered the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) to publish the new result by making corrections related to question numbers 14 and 100 of Series A.
“Two questions are clearly wrong, injustice cannot be done blindly”: High Court
The CLAT was held on December 1, 2024. The final answer key was to be released on December 9 and the result on December 10, but the consortium declared the final answer key and result simultaneously late in the night of December 7 without any prior notice. There were complaints about errors in the results, but the board went ahead without resolving them.
Pankaj Vivek, father of Aditya Singh, who had given CLAT, filed a petition in the Delhi High Court challenging the result. He had demanded the cancellation of the final correction and the cessation of the advice. Thereupon, High Court Justice Jyoti Singh considered the petition legitimate and delivered her verdict. He ordered to correct the wrong answers to questions 14 and 100 of Series A of the paper and release the new result only after that.
In its ruling, the court said: “There are obvious errors in questions 14 and 100. Putting a blindfold on this issue would be an injustice to the petitioner. The court also said it was aware that this could also affect the results of other candidates. The court said: “Benefit should be given to all candidates who gave C as the answer to the 14th question in set A, because the court and the expert committee considered C as the correct answer. According to the opinion of the expert committee, question number 100 should be removed from the questionnaire and a new result should be prepared.
According to CLAT expert Sagar Joshi, after this decision, not only the result but also the rank of many students will change.
