The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has started registrations for the PM internship program. For this, you can register on the portal pminternship.mca.gov.in from today October 12.
Under this program, 1 million young people in the country will be offered internship opportunities in the 500 largest private companies. Candidates will also receive a stipend of Rs 5,000 every month during this period.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced this project in the budget speech. Under this program, young people aged 21 to 24 will be made employable through internships.

Secondary or higher school pass, ITI certificate holder, diploma from a polytechnic institute or graduate in any stream

Students from IIT, IIM, IISER, NID, IIIT or National Law University. Students doing Masters in CA, CMS, MBBS, CS, BDS, MBA or any other subject. Students following a central or state government skill, training or student programme. Government applicants who have completed training or apprenticeship under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) are not eligible to apply.

Candidates can apply for 5 internships at a time.
For this pilot project, the government selected companies based on their spending on CSR, i.e. corporate social responsibility, over the last three years.
Businesses can now register on the portal. Young people will be able to go there and register between October 12 and 25. After that, companies will have until November 7 to select interns. After that, an internship will be offered to candidates until December 2.
Insurance coverage will also be available with an allowance. During the 12-month internship, the candidate will receive a stipend of Rs 5,000 every month. In this, the company will donate Rs 500 from its CSR fund. After this, the government will deposit Rs 4,500 in the bank accounts of the candidates. If the company wishes, it can increase the intern’s allowance by Rs 500.
Apart from this, the trainees will also get the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana from the Government of India. His bonus will be paid by the Indian government.
