Singer Diljit Dosanjh seems to be facing legal issues. Diljit did a live concert in Ludhiana on December 31. In this show, he sang songs promoting alcohol. The Punjab Women and Child Development Department had already issued a notice to the Ludhiana district commissioner in this regard to restrain the singer from singing songs containing alcohol and drugs.

Diljit allegedly sang songs promoting alcohol and drugs despite the ban. In this regard, Panditrao Dharenwar, assistant professor from Chandigarh, said that if no action is taken in this matter, he will prepare to take legal action against the singer.

Panditrao Dharanwar said that in the Punjab and Haryana High Court ruling in 2019, directions were given to the police not to play songs promoting alcohol, drugs or violence in public programs.

Let us tell you, Diljit had said at a concert in Ahmedabad on November 17 that if the Indian government banned alcohol, he would stop making songs on the subject.

Despite this, Diljit sang songs like ‘Theke’, ‘Kes’, ‘Patiala Peg’ with slight changes at the concert organized at Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana. Diljit received a notice from the deputy director of the child welfare department. In which it is written that the singer was asked not to sing songs promoting drugs or violence during the concert on December 31. Despite this, he continued to sing these songs in concerts.

Earlier, in a notice issued by the Telangana district welfare officer, the singer was asked not to sing songs like Patiala Peg and Panj Tara during the live show.

Responding to this, the singer had said at a show in Ahmedabad that if the Indian government banned alcohol, he would stop making songs about alcohol. He had said that if all states declared themselves alcohol-free, I promise I will never sing about alcohol.
