An intersection in Lokhandwala, Mumbai has been named ‘Sridevi Kapoor Chowk’ after late actress Sridevi. When she was alive, Sridevi walked on this road. His last journey also passed through here. Apart from this, Sridevi lived in Green Acres tower located on the same road.

Today, Sridevi’s husband and famous filmmaker Boney Kapoor unveiled this Chowk in the presence of his youngest daughter Khushi Kapoor and veteran actress Shabana Azmi. Let us tell you that this place was named Sridevi Chowk only on the recommendation and consent of BMC and local people.

Sridevi died in 2018 Sridevi died on February 24 at around 11:30 p.m. in room number 2201 of Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel, Dubai. However, this news reached India around 2 am on February 25. On February 20, Sridevi had visited Dubai to attend the wedding of her husband Boney Kapoor’s nephew Mohit Marwah. After the wedding, the Kapoor family returned to Mumbai on February 22, but Sridevi remained there.

Two days later, on February 24, Boney reached Dubai again to surprise Sridevi. He wanted to take them to dinner. The husband and wife talked for about half an hour and then Sridevi went to the bathroom to freshen up. But when she didn’t come out for 15 minutes, Boney called her two or three times.

Even after that, he received no response, so he went to the bathroom and looked. Sridevi lay drowned in the bathtub. Initially, it was a cardiac arrest.
