518 kg of drugs were seized at the premises of Avkar Drugs Limited.

518 kg of cocaine were seized from the shop of Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat on Sunday evening. Its price in the international market is around Rs 5,000 crore. 5 people were also arrested from the spot during the joint operation by Delhi-Gujarat Police.

Delhi Police said this cocaine is linked to the same international drug syndicate, two large consignments of which were seized in Delhi in raids on October 2 and 10.

Police said that so far a total of 1,289 kg of drugs have been seized from this syndicate. Its price in the international market is Rs 13,000 crore.

A total of 12 people associated with this syndicate have been arrested, including 7 during the last two raids in Delhi.

The mastermind of this syndicate operating from Dubai has been identified as Virender Basoya. He owns many businesses in Dubai. The police issued a lookout circular against Basoya. According to PTI sources, such quantity of cocaine has never been seized anywhere in the country. These 3 raids over the last 12 days constitute the largest operation to date.

Further, police suspect that this consignment of drugs was brought to Goa by sea from South American countries. After this he was brought to Delhi.

October 10: 208 kg of cocaine in 25 packets of snacks

On October 10, the Crime Branch had recovered 208 kg of cocaine from a rented shop in west Delhi’s Ramesh Nagar area. Its price in the international market was Rs 2,080 crore. These drugs were hidden in 20 to 25 snack packs. “Tasty treat” and “spicy mix” were written on these packets. It was placed here by someone living in the UK.

October 2: 560 kg of cocaine, 40 kg of ganja seized at the warehouse.

The drugs were hidden in a warehouse in Mahipalpur, Delhi.

On October 2, Delhi Police had seized 560 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of ganja in Mehrauli in south Delhi. Its price in the international market was around Rs 5,620 crore. Four people were arrested during the raid. Also among those arrested are two people, Tushar Goyal and Jitendra Gill, who led the trafficking of this international drug syndicate in India.

Delhi Police’s Operation ‘Kavach’ against drugs

228 kg of ganja seized on September 30: For several days, the Delhi Police has been carrying out “Operation Kavach” to arrest drug suppliers. The Delhi Crime Branch busted an international drug cartel on September 30, in which 228 kg of ganja was seized. The price of which in the international market was estimated at Rs 1.14 crore. Two suppliers of this cartel were also arrested.

6 kg of cocaine were seized on July 27: On July 27, the Delhi Police had arrested a German national with 6 kg of A-grade cocaine at the Delhi airport. The price of this cocaine in the international market is said to be Rs 12 crore. The name of the accused was Ashok Kumar.

Drugs worth Rs 1,800 crore seized in Bhopal on October 5

The two accused arrested in the drug case were produced in court on October 6.

On October 5, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Gujarat ATS jointly raided a factory in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, in which MD drugs worth over Rs 1,800 crore were recovered. Two people were also arrested in this case.
