Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat had attended a program in Pune on Thursday.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday expressed concern over the resurgence of conflicts between temples and mosques. Bhagwat said that after the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, some people think that they will become Hindu leaders by raising such issues. This cannot be accepted.
Bhagwat said: “India must show that we can live together. We have lived in harmony for a long time. If we want to transmit this goodwill to the world, we must model it.
Without naming anyone, Bhagwat said: “This is not acceptable. Bhagwat said these things while delivering a lecture on Bharat Vishwaguru as part of the Sahajeevan lecture series in Pune. Without naming a particular location, he said: “Every day a new case (controversy) is raised. How can this be allowed? In recent times, many requests for surveys of mosques in order to locate temples have been taken to court. However, Bhagwat did not mention anyone’s name in his lecture.
Bhagwat said, “The Ram temple was built because it was linked to faith. Highlighting the diversity of Indian society, Bhagwat said that Christmas is celebrated in the Ramakrishna Mission. Only we can do it, because we are Hindus. He said: we have lived in harmony for a long time. If we want to transmit this goodwill to the world, we must model it. The Ram temple was built because it was a matter of faith for all Hindus.
Supporting Mohan Bhagwat, Acharya Satyendra Das, head priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, also said, “The conflict between the temple and the mosque is a communal conflict. And as such conflicts increase, some people become leaders. If only to become a leader. so those who start fighting just to become leaders are not right. »
RSS chief says: ‘Now the country is functioning as per the Constitution’
Bhagwat added, “Some groups from outside have brought with them fanaticism and want their old regime to return, but now the country is being run according to the Constitution. In this system, people elect their representatives, who run the government.
Speaking on the Ram temple, he said that it was decided that the Ram temple in Ayodhya would be given to the Hindus, but the British sensed this and created a rift between the two communities. Since then, this feeling of separatism has emerged. This is how Pakistan came into existence.
Bhagwat said – Mohan Bhagwat is monitoring what is happening with minorities in other countries. Mohan Bhagwat also said that the situation of minorities is often discussed in India. We now see what kind of situation minority communities face in other countries.
Although the RSS chief made no reference to the violence against the Hindu community in neighboring Bangladesh, the RSS has expressed concern about the situation of Hindus there in recent weeks, following the ouster of Sheikh’s government Hasina.
