The BJP has made Ramesh Bidhuri its candidate for Kalkaji seat in Delhi. Bidhuri was also an MP.
Delhi BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri made objectionable comments on Priyanka Gandhi while speaking at a public meeting. The video of the statement was shared by Congress leader Pawan Kheda on X.
Ramesh Bidhuri is seen saying in the video, “Lalu had promised that he would make the roads of Bihar like Hema Malini’s cheeks, but he could not do it. I assure you that just like I did the roads of Okhla and Sangam Vihar, similarly I will do all the roads of Kalkaji like Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks.
Pawan Kheda objected to this statement. He wrote on social media: “This bad behavior not only reflects the mentality of this cheap man, it shows the reality of his owners. You will see the values of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in these humble BJP leaders.
Bidhuri said, “Congress should ask Lalu to apologize to Hema Malini. On the Congress opposition, Ramesh Bidhuri said, “I have not made any controversial statement. If Congress has any objection to this statement, first ask Lalu Yadav to apologize to Hema Malini, as she also made such a statement.
Ramesh Bidhuri will face Atishi of Kalkaji. The BJP on Saturday released the first list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. There are 29 names in the list. Among them, 7 leaders recently left the AAP and Congress to join the BJP.
Pravesh Verma will face New Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal. Ramesh Bidhuri was fielded against Kalkaji’s CM Atishi. The Congress has given its ticket to Alka Lamba for this seat.
The party has once again distributed tickets to most of the candidates who obtained tickets in the last parliamentary elections in the first list. In the list of 29 candidates, 13 candidates were repeated, while the tickets of 16 were changed.

BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri remains in news for his controversial statements. During the special session of Parliament on September 21, 2023, Bidhuri had made indecent remarks against BSP MP Danish Ali. Dane Ali had also complained about this by writing a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
The BJP had condemned Ramesh Bidhuri’s statement and issued a show-cause notice to the then MLA Bidhuri. However, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had accused Danish and said that the BSP MP had used abusive language against Prime Minister Modi. To counter this, Bidhuri responded to Danish in her own language.
