Ajay Maken said that due to support for AAP for 40 days in 2013, the situation of Congress in Delhi has deteriorated today.

Congress leader Ajay Maken on Wednesday described former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party president Arvind Kejriwal as the country’s fraud king, i.e. the biggest fraudster. Maken said if Kejriwal had to be defined in one word, that word would be “wrong”.

Maken said this at the time of releasing the Delhi Congress’ 12-point white paper against the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP. The title of this white paper has been retained as “Mauka Mauka, Har Bar Dhoka”.

Maken also said that the alliance with the AAP for the Lok Sabha elections was a mistake by the Congress, which should now be rectified. However, he also clarified that this was his personal opinion.

Ajay Maken said-

I think the only reason for the current situation in Delhi and the weakening of the Congress here is that we supported the AAP for 40 days in 2013.

Congress corners AAP-BJP in 12-point white paper

In a 12-point white paper, the Delhi Congress targeted the AAP government in Delhi and the BJP government at the Centre, saying both had failed to deliver on their promises. Both sides have failed to deal with issues related to pollution, civic amenities and law and order.

Maken said: Kejriwal has not yet implemented Janlokpal

Maken said that Arvind Kejriwal’s party came to power on the wave of Janlokpal movement, but Kejriwal has not been able to implement it so far.

He said if LG is not allowing you to implement Janlokpal in Delhi, what is the reason why it is not being implemented in Punjab? Who stops you there? The whole government there is yours. It’s just an excuse. 10 years ago you formed the government in the name of implementing Janlokpal, but now you have forgotten it.

Kejriwal has already declared that he will contest elections in Delhi alone.

AAP chief Kejriwal had dismissed speculation of an alliance with the Congress during the Delhi Assembly elections around 15 days ago. He had said that the Aam Aadmi Party would contest the elections alone. There is no possibility of an alliance with the Congress.

In fact, on December 11, news broke that the AAP was considering giving 15 seats to the Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections, but Kejriwal dismissed talk of an alliance in a post on X.

After the Lok Sabha elections, the AAP had declared that the alliance was only so far.

After the Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi in-charge Gopal Rai had said that the alliance with the Congress was only for the Lok Sabha elections. We will run alone in the legislative elections. In fact, after reviewing the Lok Sabha election results, Rai while speaking to the media said, “It is clear from day one that the INDI alliance was for the Lok Sabha elections. Both parties fought the elections together honestly, but there is no alliance across the country for the Assembly.
