If the PCB does not agree, then India is ready for the tournament. The government even said that if the Pakistan Cricket Board refused to organize the Champions Trophy, then India would host it. If ICC hands over the hosting rights to India, it will have the full support of the government. Additionally, players from teams coming to India to compete in the Champions Trophy will have no problem obtaining a visa.
PCB had said: India should play all matches in Lahore. PCB had offered to host all Indian matches in Lahore and send the players to India after the match. India refused, after which PCB also refused to adopt the hybrid model. The Indian team has not visited Pakistan since the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. Due to security concerns, ICC had also banned international cricket in Pakistan during that period.
