Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian to score 907 points in the ICC Test bowling rankings. ICC on Wednesday published the rankings in which it achieved this feat. Bumrah had equaled Ravichandran Ashwin’s record with a score of 904 last week. Ashwin had received so many rating points in December 2016.
On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal moved up one place in the ICC men’s test batting rankings and secured the best ranking of his career. It reached number 4.
Hazlewood is at the second position in the bowling rankings, so far Bumrah is the highest wicket-taker in the ongoing series against Australia. He took 30 wickets in the opening four matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. His average is also 12.83. He remains at the top of the test rankings. Australian Josh Hazlewood (843) is currently in second place and Pat Cummins (837) is third.
