Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 13, becomes youngest player in IPL history

Rajasthan bought 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi for Rs 1.10 crore. Its base price was Rs 30 lakh. With this, he also became the youngest player in the history of the IPL.

The Bihar player will make his IPL debut this season. Vaibhav had scored a century against Australia in the under-19 category. Vaibhav made his first-class debut at the age of 12.

He started playing cricket at the age of four. His father Sanjeev Suryavanshi is a farmer.

Seeing his passion for cricket in his childhood, Vaibhav’s father had built a small playing field behind his house. When Vaibhav turned 9, Sanjeev enrolled him in a cricket academy in the nearby town of Samastipur.
