Additionally, this is the highest score (105* points) for a batsman ranked No. 8 or below in Test matches played in Melbourne. In 1902, Australian Reggie Duff scored 104 runs while batting at number 10. Reddy became the second Indian batsman to score his maiden Test century in Melbourne. Besides Nitish, Vinoo Mankad had scored a century in 1948. Reddy has hit 8 sixes so far in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25.
